great mouse2010-09-065 / 5
It's the perfect mouse for the gamer who has to do a lot of traveling and needs portability.

It's alright, nothing great.2010-09-023 / 5
I recently purchased this mouse on a whim.

The packaging is extremely well done, to the point of absurdity in fact.
(As is the case with all Razer products.)

It's very "nice" looking and stylish, while highly functional.

The shape is a good fit, though the ridge around the right-hand buttons is a bit off-putting.

Though the extra buttons are useful, they're not necessary, nor is the configuration software.

While it is possible to configure it in such a way that is absurdly sensitive, fast and accurate I noticed a few problems.

It's TOO sensitive and fast.
Literally a soft breeze can move the cursor while at maximum DPI.
If your sound system vibrates the desk/laptop at all, have fun with your attempts at controlling the mouse, and no amount of tinkering will remedy it.

The cord, while well made, is far to short, though the ability to go wired->wireless on a whim (in theory) is nice.

It DOES NOT come with a bluetooth-USB dongle, which, for $70 is just silly.

Overall okay, but has problems that you shouldn't overlook2010-08-313 / 5
This is my second Razer mouse, first was the ProClick, the middle scrolling button stopped working after some time and I finally decided to replace it. The Orochi comes with wired and wireless (bluetooth) which is great. Love the idea of being able to use it with a wire if I run out of battery. The software isn't the best for customization of the buttons and the mouse can be a little to small (I do have large hands). Buttons on the right side of the mouse can be accidentally clicked when using the mouse. It is a step up from the ProClick but I feel it is still lacking. The cable for wired mode has started to come apart without much use. The cable isn't plastic coated instead it is some sort of nylon or something (not sure) and strands of it started to loosen up within the first two days, really disappointed that this is happening with a mouse that is expensive. The scroll isn't the best either. The rubber on the scroll can be easily moved during normal usage that will lead to the scrolling not smooth, this could have been easily avoided if the rubber around the scrolling was glued together or something instead of just wrapped around. The look of it is good overall, but needs work, considering whether to return this or not, it does not seem like a mouse the is durable for the high price it is but I do like being able to use wire or bluetooth. I expected better quality for this mouse but am disappointed.

Best Bluetooth Mouse2010-08-255 / 5
I've gone through a number of mice, most recently bluetooth mice with my Dell Studio laptop (running Windows 7). Some people have given this mouse poor reviews, and while some claims have merit, others do not. There is a VERY slight lag or jump when using the mouse from rest. For gamers, this might be an issue, but for anyone else (ie. not heavy gamers) this does not affect performance at all. Plus, if you're going to play a game, you're most likely going to be sitting in one place, and provided you have an open USB port, you can easily plug the mouse in, and be rid of any lag whatsoever.

As far as the form factor of the mouse, it fits perfectly in my hand. Of course this is something usually left up to personal preference, but for me it's one of the more comfortable mice I've used. And of course it just looks cool all around.

I'm a computer programmer and therefore need a good mouse at my disposal. This is hands down the best mouse I've used in a long time. It's definitely great for the portability and wireless features. Also, if you ever need to plug it in, you can with ease. It looks and feels great, and although the price is somewhat steep, a mouse is one of the primary ways you interact with your computer. Spend a little extra on this mouse, and you won't be sorry.

I ues this mouse with my M11x. I like that it does not take up a usb port and I have had no issues running it on bluetooth.
