Great and meh2010-08-283 / 5
I'll keep this short, though a lot of people might prefer long reviews. I'm 25, I'm not a huge audiophile or anything, but I do tend to like good quality sound. That's where these headphones kinda disappointed me. I have a psp, a blackberry, and an android phone, and for the most part, the sound quality is passable for gaming. To compare, I have a cheap pair of $20 LG ear buds with an inline mic, I have the Turtle Beach X41 headphone set, the Skullcandy INK'd ear buds, as well as Skullcandy's Gaming GI, Hesh, and Lowrider headphones. All of these headphones have better sound quality than the Razer Morays. It's not that the sound is distorted or filled with static or anything. It just sounds a little muffled sometimes, as if I cranked the bass and reduced the treble to zilch. With PSP gaming, it was completely fine, and while I could certainly tell that the sound was a bit too wannabe-bass, I didn't really get in the way. As long as you're not being picky, these should be fine for that purpose. If you're wanting to listen to music a lot, look for a different pair of headphones. You'll be a bit disappointed in the sound quality.

If you're intending on using these for Skype or some other form of VOIP, go for it. Voices come through just fine, and the mic works surprisingly well. There is no volume knob on these headphones, so keep in mind, you'll want to be using your device's volume controls. Like I said, I have a couple phones as well as a couple computers, and while I wouldn't use these as my primary music listening headphones, the included adapters make it possible to use on just about any platform, which counts for a lot. To be able to be playing a game on my PSP, get a call on my blackberry and use the same headset to talk on is very convenient, especially when I don't want my hands tied. The Morays include an adapter for the PSP so you can use the PSP for skype (havent tried that myself) as well as an adapter for the DS, and a splitter that will allow you to use these headphones on a computer's headphone and microphone ports.

All in all, I will continue to use these for voice communication and PSP gaming, but when the focus is going to be sound quality, I'll use another pair. Like I said...it's passable, but if you're trying to enjoy the sounds you love, you don't want those sounds muffled. Just my two cents.
Awesome Earbuds!2010-08-035 / 5
Pros: I have the Razer Morays and I LOVED them but I wanted a new portable headset for school and something that I could use on my iPhone 4.
*Good sound!
*Comfortable
*Works with iPhone 4
*People say I sound clear
*Nice case
*DS, PSP and PC adapters along with three different sized ear buds.

Cons: I wouldn't call it a con but I contacted Razer to see if they had iPod controls (volume up, volume down, and mute or answer/end calls) They didn't really help and NO it doesn't do that. It's just a mic. Not a big con though.

Other Thoughts: I had Skull Candies 50/50 earbuds and I returned them the next day. During a call people said it sounded like I was playing my guitar, which I wasn't. The sound sounded okay nothing compared to the Razer Morays. The three different sized ear buds make a difference in the sound. The smaller ones let more of the outside sound get in as for the largest ones nearly completely block out the sound and provide a good bass. If you have small canals might be different. That's just what I encountered. 60 dollars for these are a little steep, I would say 40 would be TOP I would pay for these but I bought them from somewhere else for a little bit cheaper plus I had a giftcard. All and all, I WOULD recommend these to anyone for gaming on the go or listening on their iPhone.
Great Headphones and Mic2010-07-315 / 5
I have been using these headphones for about 2 months now and they work great. I use them with my android cellphone and with my computer and the mic works great in both applications. I have not used the psp or nintendo ds apdapters as i dont own those products. Overall a very solid product with good build quality.
Good Headphones, nice adapters!2010-02-234 / 5
I bought the special Penny Arcade Expo set of these (same phones, but w/ a PAX logo on it) last year @ PAX, and I like them alot. From the soft feel of the rubber, to the nice foam carrying case, to the different adapters, it all seemed solid and good quality.

The Good:
#Great Sound Isolation : I spend a lot of time in a datacenter w/ very loud fan noise in the background. W/ these phones in, it nearly completely blocked the noise. My ears thanked me.
#Great Sound & Bass : very good range of sound for music. Techno to classical, good sound!
#Varied adapters & carrying case : i like to play games on my laptop that utilize voice communication (Team fortress 2, etc) and being able to plug in the adapter to my laptop and use both the mic and headphones on the go is very nice!
#Replacable ear pieces : this is normal nowadays, but it's nice that there is an option for people w/ different sounding ears

The Bad:
I have small ear canals, evidently, because even the smallest replaceable ear foams were too big for use beyond about an hour. My ears start to hurt from the pressure.

The Ugly:
No button to press for iphone functionality. Even w/out volume, just having a button would have gone a long way to making these truly irreplacable. pausing, skipping, voice dialing...all these would be available hands free. Fix this in a future version and i will buy these 'phones again!
Good gaming head set2009-12-154 / 5
I have been looking for a set of ear buds with a mic for a long time when I ran across these. I purchased them here at because they were the best price here. The normal retail price was $59.99, fairly expensive for a set of ear buds. the sound produced out these buds is above average, but if turned up too high the sound will become distorted.

The inline microphone is were this headset shine. the mic very small and does not add unbalanced weight to the headset. During my gaming sessions, I can be heard very clearly and can hear other very well on VOIP programs such as ventrilo and skype.

My only disappointment with this product is the adapters. The headset comes with computer, psp 2000/3000, and nintendo DS adapters so the headset can be used on various electronics. My problem with the headset is that I own the new PSP go, so the inline microphone adapter is not compatible with the go. Other then that, these little things totally replaced my previous gaming headset that was too bulky and caused pain after a period of time because I wear glasses.
